St George’s College ranked as a top school in Surrey

The recent publication of the academic league tables has shown that St George’s College’s academic standards are getting better than ever, with its average point scores for A Level and GCSE significantly higher than the Surrey and national averages.
St George’s College achieved one of the highest A Level scores in Surrey with an average point score per student of 924 beating the Surrey average of 713 and the national average of 721. The School also attained one of the highest GCSE point scores in Surrey with an average of 381, beating the Surrey average of 378 and national average of 365.
Headmaster Joe Peake at St George’s College said: “Grades at St George’s College have improved at all levels including A Levels, AS Levels and GCSEs.
“Our position in this year’s league table is simply a reflection of the ongoing hard work of all our students and staff.
“This year we saw a 100% pass rate at A Level, with 74% of our students gaining A-B grades and with 25 students gaining straight As in their A-Levels - 6 of whom took 4 A-Levels and 1 of whom took 5 A-Levels.

“Our students also achieved excellent results in their GCSEs, matching the A Level students with 100% pass rate. 90% of students gained A-B grades and over a quarter of students gained A grades.
