12th March 2007
St George’s College boys’ senior hockey team were crowned runners up in the annual Hockey Sixes plate competition hosted at St George’s College on 7 March 2007.

The St George’s team confidence then increased and after some good passes they went on to win against group leader’s Borden 4-2. In their final group game they beat Brighton College 3-0 which enabled them to finish third in their group and progress to the next stage of the competition.
The boys comfortable won the quarter final against Sir William Borlase 2-0 and beat Borden for a second time that day, this time 5-2, taking them through to the final. St George’s narrowly missed out by losing 3-2 to Whitgift in a closely contested final.
