St George’s College student gets England rugby call
9 March 2007
A student from St George’s College in Weybridge has been selected for the England U16 rugby squad.
Fifteen year old Marcus Watson will now join the final squad of 26 who will play with the U16s in a four nation tournament with Italy, France and Wales in April.

Marcus, who plays either on the wing or in a full back position, came to the selectors notice when he played in the Surrey U15 team, and was chosen from hundreds of England potentials for a 45 strong training squad.
Commenting on his achievement, Marcus said: “There were a lot of good players in that group and I have to say I was relieved as well as thrilled when I was chosen in the final 26.
“I have been lucky with the quality of trainers coaching me and I owe a lot to Mr Reynolds at St George’s.”
