Remembrance Service

St George’s College has a service of Remembrance in order to take time out of normal school life to remember, commemorate and honor all those who have died in conflict. The service was held on Friday 9th November as it was the closest school day to Remembrance Day.

During the service the last post was played and poppy wreaths laid on the school memorials. The memorials are from the 1st and 2nd World War and are in memory of Old Georgian’s who died in those wars. In the service the school remembered service personal from all the conflicts and peacekeeping missions in which people from the UK have been involved and they remembered those currently on active service.
