Prestigious Oxbridge places awarded to St George’s College students
St George’s College, Weybridge, is delighted to announce that four students have received offers to study at Oxford and Cambridge Universities. This follows a long tradition of St George’s students continuing their education at these world renowned universities.
Cambridge offers have been made to Leah Bramwell to read Economics at Newnham College and Anthony Fort who has won a prestigious Organ Scholarship and a place to read music at Girton College. Anthony will join the College in 2009 after a spending a year broadening his musical experience.
Oxford offers have been received by Belinda Ball to read Engineering at Lincoln College, and Richard Miller to read Law at Wadham College, where he will be joining Old Georgians Raphael Malek (Law) and Helen Smith (History) who are in their first year.

Head Boy Richard Miller said: “It is a real honour to be offered an opportunity to study at such a distinguished university. I am really looking forward to focusing on my chosen subject, as well as meeting new people and experiencing life in such an historic city.”
Miss Frawley, the Oxbridge Tutor commented: “Every year the competition becomes tougher and extra written tests become more common even before candidates are selected for interview. I am full of admiration for all our applicants who handled the process so well and learned from every stage.”
Mrs Lamey, Head of Sixth Form at St George’s College, said: “We are very proud of each of the students’ achievements and successes. These not only reflect their own hard work but the dedication and commitment of all the staff who work so closely with each student to help fulfil their potential.”
