OG Tennis - Message from Conor Boden OG'80

Calling all active tennis-playing Old Georgians!

Once again this year we have entered the D’Abernon Cup, the inter-schools old boys tennis competition, and I am looking for volunteers to represent the OGs.

The first round is a half-day round-robin tournament to be held on the indoor courts at the College from 9.15 am to 1 pm on Saturday 5 April 2008. This round only requires us to enter one doubles pair but if we qualify we would need two pairs for subsequent rounds.

The D’Abernon Cup finals are played in September at the All England Club, Wimbledon, so this is a prestigious competition and it would be great if we could enter a team capable of doing justice to the OGs and our proud tennis heritage! It’s also very sociable with some excellent tennis guaranteed.
