St George’s in the City
On Thursday 16th November 28 St George's Alumni, Current and OG Parents and friends joined Caroline Long and Melanie Gordon-Hughes, from the Development Office for a Networking event at The Happenstance Bar in Paternoster Square. All the guests work in either the Finance, Banking or Insurance industries.
Mr David Bicarregui helped us to host the event. David is a Board Member and Chair of the Finance and Risk Committee for St George’s Weybridge. David joined the board in 2009. He is a board member and Chief Financial Officer for Goldman Sachs International Bank. David joined Goldman Sachs in 1997 and serves of various committees both at the firm and the Bank of England. He was named Managing Director in 2008. David lives in Weybridge with his wife Tiffany and their two children, who are both currently at St George’s Junior School.
This was a wonderful opportunity for diverse groups of Georgians to come together and share their professional experiences and talk about the School. David fedback to us about engaging in conversation with Old Georgians and hearing stories about the boarding years of the1980s and 90s, and then onto a conversation with a 2010 OG about a 'pitch' for Fintech Investments and jobs in GS.
"It was very interesting and enjoyable to meet such a diverse group of people who are so proud to be linked to St Georges" Colette Marquez-Estevez - Current Parent
Thank you to everyone who helped to make this evening an incredible success.
